DiggnDeepr for promos! Our top selection of EPs out this week (March 4-10)

We’re always digging deeper for great new music here at DiggnDeepr (one would hope, right?). This inherently requires spending many hours sifting through the hundreds of promos we receive each week, from labels and PR companies. We thought it would be fitting to list some of our top picks out of the promos set for release this week Check below for some lovely deep house, funky hypno-house, downtempo electronica, and techno that you should be adding to your music shopping list!

Scott Diaz – Endless Luminosity EP

Scott Diaz has been on our radar for quite some time, long before the recent absurdity surfaced all over the net last week, regarding a gig in Ibiza being canceled on grounds that Scott was not “GQ” enough for their high-fashion/low-IQ crowd. It’s clearly their loss, as EPs such as this are a prime example of how talented Diaz is. All three cuts are pure dancefloor gold, with Play On being my personal favorite. One to keep an eye and both ears on, the Philly-based UK-native has been one of the most prolifically superb producers in the deep house sphere as of late. Out on Friday, March 9 via sub_urban.

Tom Flynn – Pluck EP

A match must have been made up in hypno-house heaven to bring us this brilliant EP from Tom Flynn, coming out this week on the Poker Flat sister-label, Dessous Recordings. Staying true to the label’s warm and ever-melodic sonic signature was likely an easy feat for the Brit, who’s always had a penchant for fusing sultry, hypnotic textures in his widely eclectic productions. Out on Friday, March 9, via Dessous.

Ponty Mython – Pink Tango EP

The venomously funky and hypnotic Ponty Mython strikes again, this time slivering in with three methodically deep, tripped-out, hypnodelic cuts, as well as a rendition from Fabrizio Mammarella, who adds a nice club-ready component to the record with his remix. Out on Friday, March 9, via Futureboogie.

Olde Gods – Gitanes EP

Always delivering fresh, imaginative, and artistically-authentic music; Atomnation is one of the labels doing everything right, by our standards. One of the reasons I’ll never miss a promo from this label is because they consistently deliver high-end music, and very often allow me to discover artists such as Olde Gods, who are one of many cutting-edge acts that Applescal has signed to his treasured imprint. Another gem to add to the collection! The Gitanes EP is Out March, 9, via the label’s Bandcamp page.

V.A – Gemišt Part II EP

House Is OK, a label run by Homeboy, Janis & Oliver Achatz has been on our radar since its inception in 2012. Currently 11 releases deep, and celebrating their 5 year anniversary with  part 2 of the Gemišt series including artists Roman Flügel, Oliver Achatz, TCB, and House of Life. The label  categorized themselves as “awkward dance music”,  From the off kilter arpeggios on Flügel’s “Another Love Dance” to the electric-tropical vibes on “Pool”, to the moody haunting melodies on TCB’s “Continuum”;  House Is OK surely delivers here and we can dig that!   Out on March 9th on 12” via Decks.de.
